Manitha Neyam Trust is pleased to inform you that our collaboration with LIFT, a local NGO based in Kallady, Batticaloa, is progressing well.
We are happy to share some images and videos from the first traditional harvest of peanuts.
The LIFT-MNT Farm is a small-scale venture, producing various crops organically for local consumption. Rotation of the crops includes mushroom, peanuts, and a variety of spinach. This has enabled the Farm to function effectively even during the Covid pandemic.
The Farm aims to provide training and employment to disadvantaged women, and to distribute the income towards further development activities.
The success of this initial project would allow further expansion and scaling of the Farm. We thank our well-wishers for their continued support.
