For the past several weeks during this nationwide lockdown, MNT has been able to help hundreds of families with relief packs to ensure food stays on the table. Many of the affected families are those of daily wage or low income workers, who have no means of an income when the economy is essentially shut down.

We were able to help more families in Batticaloa & Amparai districts, specifically:

Batticaloa:

Vazhaichenai – 117 Mentally ill patients

Kalawanchchikuddi – 50 families

Amparai:

Amparai Special Needs Network Association – 50 Teachers

Alayadivembu – 15 families

Thirukovil – 35

Sengamam – 40

Pottuvil division Roddai – 30 families

We thank our donors internationally for continuing to support our relief efforts during this time. While we are unable to help as many people that do need help, we are grateful to do our part, as many other organizations are also doing. Please continue to look for updates  on this page and our website.
