As the pandemic continues to devastate the world, daily-wage earning and impoverished families in Sri Lanka are heavily affected by this economic shutdown. Manitha Neyam Trust continues to provide relief packs to the affected every week.

Last week, we were able to distribute relief packs to families of daily wage earners in Mannar, Vavuniya, and Kilinochchi.

We were able to provide relief to approximately 30 families living in the Shanthipuram village of Mannar District, about 120 families in Kilinochchi and 110 families in 28 villages of Vavuniya. Thank you to the Vanni Kaappaham for Kilinochchi  and the Social Economical & Environmental Developers (SEED) for Vavuniya distributions. These relief packs are sufficient for a weeks time and Manitha Neyam Trust expects to continue the support to them.

We expect to continue our relief donations with the support of the donors and volunteers around the world. Stay tuned here for more updates.
