During this global pandemic, we are helping people to survive this economic shutdown by providing relief packs with pantry essentials for low-income and daily wage families across the country. Extended lockdowns and curfews have been affecting these families both in rural areas and well as the capital city of Colombo.
Based on the request of the trustees of the “Sri Krishnan Kovil”, Colombo 13, MNT donated dry rations to 60 families. These families have been severely affected due to the shutdown.
Manitha Neyam Trust distributed the relief through the management of the Sri Krishnan Kovil. We noted that there are more families waiting for some sort of relief donations as they don’t have any other means of income due to current situation. We expect to continue our relief donations and we are grateful to donors for their continued support!
