As the pandemic continues to devastate Sri Lanka with the third wave of infections, the government-imposed travel restrictions around the country to mitigate the spread. Due to these travel restrictions, low income and daily wage families have been the most affected. With the economic shutdown, they are finding it very difficult to survive.

In an effort to assist them in this tough time, Manitha Neyam Trust donated relief packages with dry rations to approximately 130 families, with the partnership of youth volunteers in Colombo North – Aluthmawatha area.

The families were selected by the youth volunteers who organized the donation. The cost of the relief packages were funded by the Manitha Neyam Trust.

Manitha Neyam Trust expects to continue the relief donations with the help of donors and well-wishers.
