The Trust assists this hostel by providing funds for food, clothing and education. Work has commenced to provide a Computer lab. Cost of sponsoring a meal on a specific day ( Birthday, Wedding anniversary or Death anniversary) is US$ 50.

The Trust is proud to have funded needy children living here, one of whom is a CIMA student and another studying Charted Accountancy. In addition to this Manitha Neyam Trust also provides funding for higher and university education with over 64 students already having benefited.

Funds for special coaching in English, mathematics and science plus regular medical and dental checkups were provided by the Trust for the children living here. Cost of new toilet facilities US$ 10,000. Cost of sponsoring a meal on a specific day is US$ 100.

Our home started on 29.01.1993 as a result of the initiative of Mr and Mrs Nagalingam and some volunteers. The initial number of kids were 12 and now it has over 50 kids. A new hostel is required estimated as US$ 55,000.

Home for 82 hearing and visually impaired children. 20 Braille machines have been handed over to the home.10 of these machines were donated by Perkins School for the Blind, MA, USA. Balance 10 machines were donated by philanthropies from UK.

The Manitha Neyam Trust has provided food, medicine and maintenance for the past 7 years to the 54 elders residing there.

On a request made by sister Lourdes Joseph of the above association the Trust paid US$ 6,750 for capital expenses and continues to make a monthly contribution towards the rehabilitation of disabled persons.

With donations received from Manithaneyam Trust Australia, a dormitory was constructed at a cost of over US$ 15,000 for this orphanage in Killinochchi. Hostel for girls is required. estimated cost US$ 75,000

We are funding the management of a vocational training centre in seqing for women and girls. At present ten sewing machines have been provided for this purpose and experienced teachers have been engaged to provide free trainging for 25 woman and girls.

A proposal to accommodate 50 destitute elderly men and women was drawn up. Cost of renovation U$ 30,000.

Siva Poomi school for mentally challenged children at Kondavil East, Jaffna. There are over 100 children who are being trained to manage themselves.
